Laboratory Refrigerators

Wide Variety of Lab-Grade Models Suited to Your Needs

We offer a variety of high-quality laboratory refrigerators including single, double, and triple door options that are designed for the demanding standards of pharmaceutical, clinical, biotech, and industrial laboratories.

Our lab grade refrigerator models include: chromatography, combination, flammable materials storage, glass and solid door, hazardous materials, under and top counter.

These models are specifically designed for laboratory and pharmacy use, including: specimens for preservation, blood plasma and other related products, vaccines, medical and pharmaceutical supplies.

Our flammable materials storage models meet the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 45 and 70 standards for the refrigerated storage of volatile materials in general lab work areas. Our hazardous location models meet the NFPA and OSHA guidelines for hazardous locations (class 1, division II, group C & D).

All laboratory refrigerator models meet storage guidelines and recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.

Laboratory Refrigerator Considerations

Our laboratory refrigerators offer a range of options in terms of dimensions, storage capacity, and temperature control. Here is an overview of what you should consider:

  • Capacity: How much storage do you need? Our models vary from 12 to 72 cubic feet. We also have three combination refrigerator/freezer models with capacities of with 7.6, 16.3, and 20.9 cubic feet.
  • Location and placement: It’s important to think about where you will store your laboratory refrigerator. Our options allow for easy undercounter, countertop, standalone, or cabinetry kneewall installation. Some units can be stacked with an adapter to maximize valuable floor space.
  • Temperature requirements: Each of our models has specific temperature controls allowing for the precise temperature management necessary for critical samples. A forced air directional refrigeration system will provide superior temperature uniformity and quick recovery after door openings.
  • Temperature monitoring and alerts: All models offer audio and visual alarms and an access port for temperature monitoring.
  • Shelving: Do you need wired shelves or roll out drawers? We have both options. Certain models also have completely adjustable shelving for maximum storage space.
  • Hospital-grade cords: Most of our models are equipped with durable power cords that provide reliable, long-lasting performance. Our hazardous location models are not equipped with the line cord and plug and must be hardwired in the conduit.
  • Locks:All of our refrigerators include keyed door locks for security.
  • Energy efficiency: Most of our models offer energy efficient and environmentally friendly HFO and HC refrigerants.
  • Door options: Do you need to see the lab fridge contents through a window? Do you require more than one door? We offer single, double, and triple door models — as well as solid, glass, sliding, and swinging door options.
FAQ's
Do you have models that meet the new energy standards?
We have options from small table top, undercounter, all the way to 72 cuft, 3 door units.
What kind of shelving do you have?
It depends on the model, but most have adjustable wired shelves. We also have models with pullout drawers.
What is the benefit of pull out drawers versus wired shelves?
Pull out drawers are beneficial for inventory control and make it easy for you to find what you’re looking for. The drawback, however, is that they are fixed. Shelves, on the other hand, are adjustable, but you may have to move items around to find what you need.
Can I install an independent temperature monitoring system?
All our lab freezers provide an access port for you to install your temperature probe into the freezer. To save money, a lot of customers use a low-cost residential freezer that does not have an access port for the temperature probe, which means they run the probe through the door gasket. The probe cord causes an air gap along the door gasket line. This allows warm room air to enter the freezer, which accelerates the frost buildup.
Can undercounter units have built-in cabinets installed around it?
There are two types of undercounter units: freestanding and built-in. Only built-in models can have cabinets built around it. A built-in (also called “front breathing” undercounters) are models where the hot compressor air vents out of front grills (just under the door). Freestanding models have this air vent out back.
Do you have light sensitive options?
Yes, we have solid door models and even black-out panel options for glass door models.
