Product Description

The Nanoduct is a compact and ergonomic system that uses the classic method of inducing sweat by pilocarpine iontophoresis, using the unique Nanoduct sensor cell, results appear quickly on the display. The Nanoduct has a robust self-diagnostics for complete monitoring of all system functions and now includes computer and printer interface capability.

The Nanoduct neonatal sweat analysis system combines and miniaturizes the proven collection and analysis technologies of Macroduct and Sweat-Chek to accommodate the tuny limbs of newborn infants, and provides a diagnosis of CF
Continuous flow analysis of electrolyte content:
When the sensor is attached to the patient, the stimulated sweat emerging from the sweat glands is anaerobically directed into a microconductivity cell within the sensor. This provides a continuous display of the total electrolyte content. Total electrolyte concentration has been shown to be equal of chloride in its ability to discriminate between CF and non-CF subjects. The Nanoduct system eliminates a separate collection phase which saves time and eliminates potential handling errors.
