Use of volatile chemicals within an A2 cabinet typically requires it to be vented to the outdoors for removal
of gases. A cabinet is connected to a facility’s exhaust system through a canopy exhaust connection (CEC), which provides an air gap that protects the cabinet from potential variations of airflow in the facility exhaust system.
