These units are ideal for pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other medical or healthcare facilities.

Our pharmacy refrigerator models include: combination refrigerator/freezer, glass and solid door, undercounter and countertop.

These pharmaceutical-grade refrigerators are specifically designed for laboratory and pharmacy use, including: specimens for preservation, blood plasma and other related products, vaccines, medical and pharmaceutical supplies.

All laboratory refrigerator models meet storage guidelines and recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.

Pharmaceutical-Grade Refrigerator Considerations

Our laboratory refrigerators feature a range of options in terms of temperature control, capacity and shelving. Here is an overview of what you should consider:

  • Capacity: How much storage do you need? Our models vary from 5.6 to 72 cubic feet. We also have three combination refrigerator/freezer models with capacities of 7.6, 16.3 and 20.9 cubic feet.
  • Location and placement: Where will you position your pharmaceutical-grade refrigerator? Our options allow for easy undercounter, countertop, standalone or cabinetry kneewall installation.
  • Temperature requirements: Each of our models has specific temperature controls, but most refrigerators have an operating range of 2°C to 14°C with some models offering 2°C to 23°C and 1°C to 10°C.
  • Temperature monitoring and alerts: All models offer audio and visual alarms and an access port for temperature monitoring.
  • Models have completely adjustable shelving for maximum storage space.
  • Hospital-grade cords: Most of our models are equipped with durable power cords that provide reliable, long-lasting performance.
  • Locks: All of our pharmaceutical-grade refrigerators include keyed door locks for security.
  • Energy efficiency: Some models offer energy efficient and environmentally friendly HFO refrigerants.
  • Door options: Do you need to see the contents of your refrigerator without opening the door? Do you require more than one door? We offer single, double and triple door models — as well as solid, glass, sliding and swinging door options.
  • Vaccine storage: You should consider our pharmaceutical-grade refrigerators for vaccines. They are a crucial part of the healthcare system, and their effectiveness depends on appropriate conditions and regulated temperatures. Our pharmacy refrigerators are specifically designed to properly and safely store vaccines, including those for influenza, rotavirus, MMRV and more.

Do you have models that meet the new energy standards?
We have options from small table top, undercounter, all the way to 72 cuft, 3 door units.
What kind of shelving do you have?
It depends on the model, but most have adjustable wired shelves. We also have models with pullout drawers.
What is the benefit of pull out drawers versus wired shelves?
Pull out drawers are beneficial for inventory control and make it easy for you to find what you’re looking for. The drawback, however, is that they are fixed. Shelves, on the other hand, are adjustable, but you may have to move items around to find what you need.  
Can I install an independent temperature monitoring system?
All our lab freezers provide an access port for you to install your temperature probe into the freezer. To save money, a lot of customers use a low-cost residential freezer that does not have an access port for the temperature probe, which means they run the probe through the door gasket. The probe cord causes an air gap along the door gasket line. This allows warm room air to enter the freezer, which accelerates the frost buildup.  
Can undercounter units have built-in cabinets installed around it?
There are two types of undercounter units: freestanding and built-in. Only built-in models can have cabinets built around it. A built-in (also called “front breathing” undercounters) are models where the hot compressor air vents out of front grills (just under the door). Freestanding models have this air vent out back.
Do you have light sensitive options?
Yes, we have solid door models and even black-out panel options for glass door models.
